Ya know...

I have to say, I am having a pretty awesome day. I took a nice, long deep nap, and then I absolutely devoured my lunch (mashed green #3 and mashed orange #2 and a whole bottle with rice cereal)! I am getting pretty mobile, too! I have gotten pretty good about coordinating my knees and my hands and I can get around pretty well now, which is good because there are so many fascinating things to grab and put in my mouth! And kitties.... we have three of them to chase! They are faster than me now, but they had better watch it because I am gaining on them quick, and then those tails are MINE.... especially the grey one...

Amazing display of ineptitude!

Nanny forgot the camera cord AGAIN. That's why I had to throw a giant temper tantrum when she put me down for my nap. Otherwise how will she learn?

Guess what?

Yesterday Nanny took video of me crawling! And just as soon as she can figure out how to load it she's gonna post it here. (It's hard to get good help these days!) Anyway, it's probably moot, since by tomorrow I'll be ten times as good at it as I am now.
Not much else to report, except I am glad it cooled off-- spending all day out of the hot house to stay cool was exhausting! Too many new things to take in!

I heard a rumor that I may get to go to SeaWorld here pretty soon. Bet there are great photo-ops there... I'm bound to be noticed any day now!

Haute Couture

So, I have discovered the secret to staying on the cutting edge of fashion! All I have to do is grow at twice the natural rate and Mommy buys me a whole new wardrobe every three weeks!

Now if I could just get Nanny to remember the cord for her camera, I could be a star!!

Contemplating my navel.

I know people use this as an expression for wasting time, but honestly, is anything more interesting than my own body?? I have been spending a lot of time on the floor lately, and for some time I was really motivated to move from one point on the floor to another, but recently, I have determined that more interesting than all my toys, all the furniture, and even the kitties, more interesting than even Nanny's earrings, are my own toes.

What? What's this? The silver thing with all the buttons that changes the picture on the screen is on the floor. Maybe mobility is all it's cracked up to be...

I know you are all so hopelessly smitten with me and dying to send me fan mail, so I thought I'd give the less tech-savvy of you a little primer:

I don't know for sure that it works with everyone's email-- you may have to do some set-up on your end. What, you expect me to know everything? I'm just a baby! Good Morning!!

I have progress to report! All my struggles are paying off! Last night I discovered the secret to propping myself up to a full sitting position! Apparently these two things hanging off the side of my body have many, many uses, and are the keys to my freedom! I suspect the adults have been tricking me by only using their legs for mobility and support in order to keep me oppressed and immobile, but my cunning conquers all!! I have been studying these other things around the house--- "kitties," which move about on four appendages, and I think I am on the verge of gaining this skill.

Also last night, the red-haired one who looks more like me-- Mommy-- gave me this delicious new food! It seemed to have the same flavors as the ooze they try to feed me, but it was all enhanced by this delightful savory over tone! I have noticed it in the "cheese" they give me, to a lesser degree, but what it does to vegetables! No wonder adults seem to actually enjoy refueling themselves! If only that flavor came canisters and could be added to other foods! I must do some research! But first, *yawn* a nap...

Indecision!

No one could possibly comprehend the magnitude of my quandry; to sleep, or not to sleep? I mean, I have been awake for over four hours, so obviously I am completely exhausted, but I have Mommy and Nanny here, and that doesn't happen very often and I don't want to miss one heavenly, comforting second of bliss. Besides, I hear the Cheerio pusher is on his way, and I need to re-up....

A little bit about me.....

Hello! For those of you who just stumble on this blindly, I am an 8 month old kid in Southern California, and my nanny has agreed to interpret my thoughts and post them on this blog so that my folks (and any else who's interested) can see what I'm up to. There may be a few occasional comments from Nanny herself, or Mommy, but mostly just me.

I am excrutiatingly cute, almost always happy (for which the folks around me are eternally grateful) and my interests include: putting anything that isn't food in my mouth, petting kitties and puppies, racing around in my wheelie walker, and Sesame Street.

Right now I have to go down for a well-deserved nap, but I will check back in later and let you all know what I am up too.....
